A number of actions were carried out during the operation of ladles with working lining from periclase-carbonaceous products,aimed both to improve lifetime of the items applied industrially, and to select alternative suppliers of these refractories.

The article outlines the present condition of and development trends for ferrous metallurgy in EAEU. Based on the carried out analysis, systematic problems of metallurgy were detected, conclusions were made on what are the possible ways to resolve them using the potential of integration. 

Efficiency criteria for slitting process are given. Example of two-strand rolling of rebar №20 specifies such split efficiency criteria in non-driven splitting unit, as sizes of junction.
