15 millionth tonne of steel – to anniversary!
The workers of Electric Steel Melting Shop-1 have reached 15 millionth maximum at electric arc furnace-1 towards of BMZ thirtieth anniversary.
On October 9 the first team of workers produced the 1,5 millionth tonne of steel at the reconstructed furnace from which the history of BMZ started. This event became a real present for plant birthday. The anniversary steel was casted at CC Machine-1. 66 square billets with cross-section 140х140 mm are applied to roll the rebars with diameter from 10 to 32 mm.
In total, for 30 years 32 935 180 tonnes of steel were melted at Electric Melting Shop-1 for 30 years. The overall production of two melting shops totals about 43,3 million tonnes.
