Byelorussian Steel Works has started the construction of one more ( third) lime kiln to provide the needs of steel making production in terms of capacity of 3 millon tonnes of steel per year.
At present BMZ are provided in quality metallurgical lime only for 60%. The rest- in terms of numbers 40 thousand tonnes per year – is the purchasing of buiding lump lime that is considerably worse than metallurgical one.
The equipment of lime kiln №3 is maded by Swiss company “MAERZ”, the transfer units will be supplied by Russian Company “IZVESTA”, while metal constructions are manufactured at the plant “LEGMASH” ( Production Association “Byelorussian steel Works”). Planned for 2013 lime kiln start up will enable to increase annual production of lime to 185 thousand tons.
