[BELTA] Byelorussian steel works has obtained DGA accreditation certificate.
Byelorussian steel works is the first of large-scale enterprises which has obtained accreditation in the International Accreditation Body - Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Akkreditierung mbH (DGA).
European experts confirmed authorities of the plant’s laboratory for physical-mechanical test operations as well as for chemical composition analysis of rebar and seamless pipes in compliance with stated field of accreditation.
The document has already come into effect and it is valid till 2014. Heretofore the plants laboratory had the procedure of accreditation only in National Accreditation Body. In this case accreditation certificate is validated by bilateral agreement in seven countries. Obtained DGA accreditation certificate will be valid in most European countries and it will expand substantially export potential of the leader of domestic industry.
Great preliminary work was carried out before high status of the plant’s laboratory was recognized by authoritative International Body. It was necessary to study thoroughly a system of accreditation operating in Europe as well as in Germany, documents regulating this normative activity, to go through certain stages for obtaining European recognition. Final decision was made by foreign specialists under complex audit.
Successful implementation of accreditation is actual confirmation of technological competence. It means that BMZ laboratory has necessary equipment, staff and all work is carried out in accordance with European requirements.
