BMZ employee won the contest ‘100 ideas for Belarus’

According to the results of the republican contest ‘100 Ideas for Belarus’ the winner in the nomination ‘Industrial and construction technologies and production’ was recognized the project owned by the  representatives of the Institute of Metal-Polymer Systems Mechanics V. A. Belogo (MPRI)  of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the head of wire production laboratory of the research center - industrial laboratory of metallurgical and steel production technologies at BMZ Timur Akhmetov.

The project ‘Use of steelmaking waste to obtain import-substituting tribotechnical composite materials’ brought the victory to the team of authors.

The presented project is of great economic importance. Thus, the worked-on polymer composites in technical and operational parameters do not disgrace foreign analogues, and in some cases they have 1.2-1.4 times higher capability. Moreover, the cost of such composites is on average 25% lower than those of foreign manufacturers.
