BSW confirmed the title of winner of the prize from the government of Belarus and received a special award
Summarizing the results of contest for prize from the government of Belarus for performance in quality 2018 OJSC "BSW - management company of "BMC" holding" confirmed the title of laureate, as well as received a special award in ‘Leadership’ nomination for contribution made by management so to achieve sustainable success in organization. Relevant information is shown in Resolution issued by Council of Ministers dd. March 25, 2019 №190.
This decision made by panel of experts at the contest is an important evaluation of systematic, laborious and continuous work in quality for Byelorussian Steel Works. Thus, now BSW maintains 8 certificates of QMS conformity and more than 60 conformity certificates to produce different types of products, which enables BSW to export more than 80% of products monthly to dozens of countries, and to the most reputable and strict companies in the world.
Only in 2018 approval of BSW as 2nd tier supplier was complete by such reputable auto makers as DAIMLER, BMW, VW and FIAT. Positive homologation of BSW pipes by Halliburton and Schlumberger is an important achievement in 2018. These companies are global leaders producing drilling tools. Contracts have been singed with these companies for serial deliveries. Our company is proud to collaborate with recognized tyre companies Continental, Bridgestone, Michelin, GoodYear, etc. which consume our steel cord & wire products.
It should be noted that summarizing performance of 2018 BSW confirmed the title of winner of the prize from government of Belarus, granted to the plant in 2015. This means that the plant performed better vs. the results in the previous contest. Nevertheless, the company does not stop at what has been accomplished: the company stated QMS development strategy 2019-2020. One of the key targets here is to integrate into existing system of such standards as ISO 27001, highlighting information security, and ISO 37001, aimed to battle with corruption. Priority areas are also adoption of advanced standards and practices for personnel management, including ISO 10018, investing into people (IIP). A lot of attention is paid to a joint project of BSW and Byelorussian National Institute for standardization & certification providing for practical training seminars so to implement up-to-date methods of management in the holding companies. It is planned also to adopt principles of Total Productive Maintenance.
