Since this year Zhlobin State Metallurgical College is a branch of the Belarusian National Technical University.

Such integration will allow children to receive both secondary specialized and higher education in one institution according to integrated plans. From the new academic year the students of the BNTU branch in Zhlobin will study according the reduced program -3 years and 7 months instead of 3 years and 10 months. The period of higher education has also changed, it will be 3 years for the branch graduates of metallurgical specialty. "Thus, the aim to use more effectively the database of educational institutions and to reduce the training terms is achieved in the Republic of Belarus, the young people were able to fulfil quickly themselves,  obtain the relevant educational level and start production activities", — said Nikolai Kashtanov, Director of the BNTU branch "Zhlobin State Metallurgical College".

The admission to Zhlobin State Metallurgical College is still focused on the needs of Byelorussian Steel Works and is carried out according to the enterprise’s request. Students will receive training at the budget expense. The admissions campaign has already started. There is an innovation: restrictions on  girls’ admission are removed. If there was a separate competition for boys and girls formerly, then this year it will be common. The acceptance advantage will be for those students who will have a higher score.
