On August 30, 2017 the Pipe Rolling Shop of BMZ has produced its first millionth tonne of hot-rolled tubes. The anniversary products (pipes for oil and gas pipelines) will be delivered to an American customer in the near future.

The team-1 under the direction of the Shiftman Nikolai N. Korotkov and Deputy Foreman of team-1 Oleg V. Ovsiannikov has reached this significant result (the millionth tonne of hot-rolled tubes) for the Pipe Rolling Shop and BMZ.

It should be noted that at present the Pipe Rolling Shop has developed the manufacture of pipes for oil pipelines according to American Petroleum Institute standard API 5L and so called “green pipe” with further processing according to standard API 5РЎРў (pipe for hydraulic fracture, anchor pipe and other tube types).

For the last five years 1177 tube profiles have been produced, including new 352 profiles have been developed. At present the main customers of BMZ seamless hot-rolled pipes are the USA, the Russian Federation, the Baltic, Latin America and European countries. The export geography expanded lately – Brazil, Greece, Colombia, Croatia are added.
