High-technology rolling production at BSW is represented by small-section rolling mill 320, wire rod mill 150 and reversing heavy-section rolling mill 850.
Wire rod mill 150 consists of six roughing stands and twelve intermediate stands, 8-stand wire rod mill and 4-stand reducing-sizing mill, modern mechanized line for bars in coils. The mill is designated for manufacture of carbon, construction, low-alloyed, cord steel grades, wire rod diameter range 5,0-22mm and hot-deformed rebars 6—12mm. Mill complex includes unique continuous five-zoned furnace with walking beam equipped with automated control systems. Capacity - 490 thou.t. of rolled product per year.
Mill 320 is capable to produce rolled product at the speed 20m/s. Including building bars diameter 10 to 40mm, angle bars 20x20 to 50x50, channel bar 6,5mm and rounds of various diameters, hexagonal steel, square and strip bars. The process is totally automated and state-of-the-art technologies are implemented. Capacity - to 1 mil.t. of rolled product per year.
Reversing mill 850 is designated for manufacture of round bars diameter range 80-160mm, including inch sizes and square bars 100x100 and 125x125. For the purpose of product quality control finishing line is foreseen where surface and inner defects are controlled, scale is removed and surface defects are grinded, bars are cut to desired length, packed and marked in automatic mode. Capacity - 450 thou.t. of steel.
Section rolling shop № 2 was put into operation in September, 2015. Productive capacity - 700 thou.t. of product per year with a possibility to increase up to 1 mil.t. That object was included into the list of the most important projects for the development of new enterprises and manufacturing facilities, defining value for innovative development of the country. It was also the key object in modernization program of BSW and the biggest one in the history of the enterprise.
