The BMZ project “The decrease of power specific consumption at the expense of optimization of smelting energotechnological mode at EAF-3 of Steel Smelting Shop-2” was recognized as the best in nomination ‘Technologies, equipment and material for power industry and fuel-energy complex’ at 13th International Contest of power efficient and alternative technologies and equipment.

This contest was carried out during Belarusian Industrial Forum-2016 and  stimulates the energy-saving production and  realization of new resource-saving technologies.

- Our enterprise is one of the most active participants of this contest, - says Chief of Energy-saving Bureau Aleksandr Gorevoy. -  In 2015 BMZ project ranked second. This year we duplicated the success of 2014 and became the winner in our nomination. It should be noted that the realization of this project allowed to decrease the power specific consumption by 7,4 % at Steel Smelting Shop-2 in 2015.  The natural gas specific consumption is reduced by 6,2 %,  production downtime -  by 6 %. Summing up the contest, Deputy Chairman of State Standard M.P. Malashenko noted that the enterprises – participants advance national economics and increase the production output.
