Development of BMZ specialists was awarded by the Ministry of Industry
The project of BMZ specialists ‘Development and launch of production of tubing, used when doing hydraulic fracturing’ was recognized as the best in nomination ‘Machining, foundry, forging and other equipment (including specific process equipment)’. Byelorussian Steel Works again won the award from Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus in the field of science and engineering.
The decision of science-technical council of BMZ was to nominate innovation work ‘Development and launch of production of tubing, used when doing hydraulic fracturing’ for the award from the Ministry of industry. Before this kind of product was not produced in our country.
— The project is quite big, — said the head of rolling (technical dpt.) Alexei Alexandrovich Kuchkov, — Introduction of the process for production of tubing, used when doing hydraulic fracturing, enabled to develop a unique two-radius shaping of rolls from stretch-reducing mill, which made it possible to ensure pipe geometry meeting the customer’s standard specification. Due to developed modes of heat-treatment and carried-out upgrading we reached satisfactory mechanical properties of tubing, which made it possible to further use them after 8 round trips in the well.
The author team is composed of six BMZ men: deputy general director for technical development- chief engineer Nickolai Ivanovich Anelkin, head of rolling (technical dpt.) Alexei Alexandrovich Kuchkov, deputy head of Pipe shop Victor Sergeevich Korovin, head of hot rolling area (Pipe shop) Sviatoslav Vladimirovich Agafonov, lead calibration man (Pipe shop) Oleg Ivanovich Kom, lead process engineer of the team dealing with reheating furnaces and heat-treatment (technical dpt.) Leonid Viacheslavovich Savostianov.
