BSW have increased sales of reinforcing steel to Africa

Based on the results of 8 months of 2020, OJSC “BSW - management company of “BMC” holding”, as part of the diversification of sales, have exported reinforcing steel worth more than 11 million US dollars to Africa. This indicator is almost 20% higher than the level of the same period last year.

 

In January-August 2020, BSW sold over 564 thousand tons of reinforcing steel, 90% of which was shipped to foreign countries. This year, the works have exported reinforcing steel to 19 countries of the world worth more than 200 million US dollars. The biggest customers are Russia, Israel, Lithuania, the Ukraine and Great Britain. The importers of this type of products to the African continent are Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin and Ghana. By the way, shipments to the last of the listed countries have tripled in physical terms this year.

According to latest data BSW exported 1.4 million tons of steel products to 51 countries over 8 months of 2020. More than 50% of products are shipped to Europe; the share of African countries in the total export of the works over the specified period exceeds 12 percent.
